Become a Body Sensing BQ Coach

New for 2011, Body Sensing is introducing a  Somatic Coach certification  programme for anyone in the business of improving mind body health, posture and wellbeing through movement, including:

  • Physiotherapists and Biokineticists
  • Yoga and Pilates teachers
  • Fitness Instructors
  • Martial Arts teachers

A Body Sensing BQ Coach focuses on working with the individual as a whole to develop their physical and emotional wellbeing. Coaching is an extremely effective learning tool for helping people to help themselves.  Instead of giving advice or telling someone what to do, a Coach will ask powerful, incisive and insightful questions that allows an individual to think and learn for themselves.  It’s this deeper self- learning or self-awareness that gives them the confidence and clarity to make better choices.

Body Sensing uses movement principles, relaxation techniques, recent core training research, clever cueing and client led coaching techniques to improve both mind and body awareness quickly. Yasmin Lambat is an ICF accredited coach and is a seasoned presenter and Educator of Body Sensing BQ at conferences and workshops.

Body sensing Awareness principles include:

    1. Emotional Intention –Identifying the feeling that precedes the body’s response to a thought, idea or perception.

    2. Breath – integrating the rhythm of the natural breath with movement and emotion.

    3. Sensing – Using Sensory cues, self reflection and self directed learning to encourage a feeling of “effortless effort”

    4. Connectivity and Flow– to encourage efficient movement using the body’s bone rhythms and natural spring/like Myofascial structure.

    5. Grounding-using gravity to experience the body in space.

    6. Release and relaxation – to encourage a parasympathetic restorative state for optimum alignment.
